One of the building blocks that God uses to build a healthy church is through godly men. Men who love the gospel. Men who love holiness. Men who love their cities. We can't be half-hearted men but we must be resolved to be godly leaders.

One of the saddest tragedies is men who live passionless and purposeless lives.

To live a life empty of any vision for God and his glory.

To live a life for yourself.

God is calling men to lead their churches and their families through the power of the gospel and with a passion for the gospel! A calling to be men who spend less time on our couches and more time in the Word of God. A calling to spend less time on our smartphones and more time with believers and unbelievers who need the gospel!

This Wednesday morning we will get together to spur one another on towards love and good deeds. To encourage one another to live passionate and God-glorifying lives.

This Wednesday we are going to read "The Resolutions of Jonathan Edwards" who lived from 1703 to 1758. Edwards wrote resolutions to keep his eye on God and his glorious gospel. The craziest part is he wrote these resolutions between the ages of 17 to 23 years of age.

My prayer is that we would read this article devotionally and share openly as men how to be godly men!
